Better day!

Hubby seems peppier and happier today. He was on an antibiotic last week for a three week old cough and maybe he is simply feeling better finally. HURRAY! my sis and folks are taking a trip to visit relatives and hubby will be here, but two sons are around so I am hopeful all will go well.

I will post again when I can. I am glad to be back with my supportive pals.

Been a long long time...

Not much of a supportive buddy lately but I am back. hubby has been in good moods BUT NO PEP. Sleeping, eating, reading, watching TV....That's about all he seems to want to and can do. Blood sugar readings have been good for the most part and he is pretty disciplined about eating but not a saint...the thing i hate is that he quit chewing tobacco but went back to it. UGH...oh well. goods moods...no pep. We are hoping for more pep but not sure that will happen. Still no right eye peripheral vision after the stroke last January.

I sometimes feel sad because he so little pep. but we are going to go away for our 40th wedding anniversary so who knows...maybe away he will feel peppier and less tired.

hope you all are doing well.

one day at a time

Hubby had a sleep apnea test and is anxious to wear the sleep apnea mask to bed now. He wants to, he is so tired of being tired.
His blood sugar is fairly well controlled lately.
He is still experiencing loss of peripheral vision and I do the driving.
We are having vegetable juice each morning, inspired by Joe Cross and his wonderful FAT, SICK, NEARLY DEAD documentary. We are both trying to eat more raw vegetables but no white potatoes, tomatoes, or peppers since they cause inflammation.
I am speaking at my publisher's convention this Saturday so we are combining it with a visit with our oldest son and family. I am looking forward to it.

I hope you are well...hugs and love.

Long time...

Much to update...had a tenth grandchild...went to meet the little cutie and did...then hubby woke up with no peripheral vision in his right eye...had a stroke. We are dealing with that and he also has other things going on...swollen aorta...have an appt. soon with a vascular surgeon...so for the most part he has control over his sugar but sleeps a lot and has all these other health concerns lately. I keep positive, but am doing all the driving which I don't mind but am concerned with his health in general...like things are getting good and now what...staying positive. HUGS and LOVE

howdy

Had a scare yesterday...hubby was soooo tired, just wanted to sleep...was blah. I just had a bad feeling. I even asked him if he'd had a stroke. Seems like an extreme reaction, but it made me realize again that I am married to diabetes. He is okay today...but I am on watch at all times. How are you, ladies?
